No NRRA honor can be bought. The Candidate Choice Award is decided by the people the profession serves. The National Championship is decided by blind judging against a published rubric. The Annual Awards Program recognizes the year's outstanding practitioners and firms. Every conferral is recorded permanently in the association registry.
The flagship honor
Most industry awards are voted on by peers, panels, or marketers. The Candidate Choice Award is different by design: it is decided by the clients themselves — the job seekers a member represented during the award year.
Every nomination begins with a verified engagement. Clients of NRRA-certified members rate their experience across the dimensions that define professional representation — honesty of expectation-setting, quality of strategy and outreach, communication, negotiation support, and outcome — and their responses are validated against association engagement records before a single point is counted.
The award is conferred annually. Recipients may use the designation “TCCA honoree” with the award year, and every conferral is publicly verifiable in the credential registry.
Two honors, two tests
Decided by verified client ratings of real engagements. It answers the question every prospective client actually has: what was it like to be represented by this professional?
Conferred annually · first conferral with the founding class
Real, anonymized client work, blind-judged by an independent panel against a published 100-point rubric. National Champion, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Finalist honors across four divisions.

Conferred each year at the close of the Championship season, on the recommendation of the Integrity Panel and the vote of the board — with every nominee screened for ethics standing first. Inaugural conferrals follow the founding class’s first full season first season — dates to be announced.
The certified practitioner whose year best exemplifies the standard: verified client outcomes, ethics record, and contribution to the profession. One conferral per year, never more.
The member firm with the strongest combination of certified staff, client-rated service, and Championship performance across the season.
A practitioner certified within the past two years whose work already performs at the standard of the profession’s best.
Recognizes an engagement — anonymized and verified — where representation materially changed a candidate’s outcome: a career changer, a return-to-work search, a search against the odds.
For the member whose writing, data, or teaching most advanced public understanding of the hidden market and candidate-side representation.
For extraordinary volunteer service to the association itself — committee work, mentorship, and the unglamorous labor that makes a standards body run.
Certification proves skill. The TCCA and the Championship prove it in public, on the record, where clients can check it.
