The people behind the standard
A standards body is governed by people who put their names on it. Meet the founding President, the officers, and the board of directors of the National Reverse Recruiters Association.
From the President
“For a decade I have watched talented people lose searches they deserved to win — not for lack of ability, but because nobody was on their side of the table. Reverse recruiting fixes that. The NRRA exists so that when a job seeker puts their career in a practitioner's hands, they can know exactly what standard that practitioner is held to. We built this association the way we tell our clients to run a search: deliberately, transparently, and to a written standard. I invite you — as a client or as a colleague — to hold us to it.”

Officers
The officers carry out the day-to-day governance of the association, subject to the bylaws and the oversight of the board.
Arno Markus is the founder and CEO of iCareerSolutions, an award-winning executive career services firm, and one of the earliest practitioners to build a dedicated reverse recruiting practice for senior and C-suite candidates. He has represented hundreds of executives into roles that were never publicly posted, and founded the NRRA to give the profession he helped pioneer a published standard, an earned credential, and an enforceable code of ethics. As President he chairs the board and represents the association publicly.
Tamara Cameron is Vice President of Professional Services at iCareerSolutions, where she leads service delivery, quality standards, and practitioner training for reverse recruiting engagements. A career educator by training, she oversees the NRRA's competency model, the certification curriculum, and examination integrity — the machinery that makes an NRRA credential mean something. She serves as the association's chief standards officer.
The Secretary‑Treasurer keeps the corporate records and minutes, oversees the association's finances, and files the annual reports required of a Delaware corporation. The founding board expects to fill this seat during the founding year.
Placeholder — to be announcedBoard of Directors
The board holds fiduciary responsibility for the association, adopts standards on the recommendation of committees, and confers honors. By design it includes seats that no member firm controls: independent directors and a public member who represents the interests of job seekers.
Chairs the board and holds the founding-member seat. Recused, like every director, from any certification, judging, or ethics decision in which he or his firm has an interest.
Holds the standards seat on the board and chairs the Standards Committee, which owns the competency model and the Code of Ethics.
An independent professional from outside any member firm — typically from law, HR, or an adjacent standards body — who chairs Ethics Review and safeguards the blind-judging protocol.
Placeholder — recruiting nowAn independent credentialing or assessment professional who chairs the Certification Committee and rules on appeals, insulated from every member firm's commercial interests.
Placeholder — recruiting nowA director drawn from the public the profession serves — a former client or consumer advocate — who brings the candidate's perspective to every standard the board adopts.
Placeholder — to be announcedAs the certified membership grows, this seat converts from appointment to election — the first step in the bylaws' transition from a founding board to a member-governed one.

The NRRA is recruiting independent directors and committee members from credentialing, law, HR, and consumer advocacy. If governance of a young profession interests you, we would like to hear from you.
